General Guidelines for Submission of Papers
Papers written in Portuguese,
Spanish or English
are acceptable. The written communications intended to be published in the
Proceedings of IFMBE must be delivered in English.
Each professional application allows the submission of two articles, and
each student application allows the submission of one article.
Paper Submission Process
Please read the following
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES carefully before you begin the submission.
It is not permitted to submit work already accepted or likely to be published before the CLAIB&CBEB 2022.
The Program Committee has the right to remove a paper if this contains data that has already been published. All submitted articles will undergo plagiarism verification, which will define acceptance for continuing the reviewing process. Paper submission deadline is 27st Jun 2022, 23:59 hrs, Brasília Time BRT UTC-3).
Papers can only be submitted online and MUST be submitted UP to 27st Jun 2022, 23:59 hrs, Brasília time. In addition, the regulations given below WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
Papers Submitted on Human Studies
The declaration stating that the study has been reviewed and approved by the Local Ethics Committee must be checked, confirming that it has been performed following the ethical standards laid down in the Helsinki Declaration and addressing national regulations. This approval must be stated in the body of the paper.
Papers Submitted on Animal Studies
The declaration stating that the study has been carried out along the "Principles of laboratory animal care" was approved by a local committee of ethics in animal studies and/or is following the national laws of the country(ies) where the study was carried out. This approval must be stated in the body of the paper.
Paper Reviewing Process
The Scientific Program Committee will review all submitted papers and short communications. The Scientific Committee of the CLAIB&CBEB 2022 will notify the presenting (= first named) author when the papers with the status "complete" are forwarded to two anonymous reviewers. Acceptance will be notified as shown in the Important Dates tab. During the review process, all submitted papers will be handled confidentially. The authors may be notified to revise their papers during the review process.
All papers and Short Communications must be prepared using the MS-Word templates available from the CLAIB&CBEB 2022 https://claib2022.org/submissoes.html or https://cbeb.org.br/submissoes.html. Please follow the formats defined in the templates comprehensively (the links for the templates can be found below). Regular Papers are presented either as oral or poster presentations and
be 4 to 6 pages long.

Short Communications, up to 2-pages, are presented either as oral or
presentations. All paper content (i.e., text, figures, tables and
references) must fit into two pages.

The Scientific Program Committee will determine the type of
(Oral or Poster) and session.
ONLY Regular papers in ENGLISH will be eligible to be published in Springer's IFMBE (International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering) Proceedings, which will be available online (e.g., https://ifmbe.org/ifmbe-proceedings-series.) However, regular papers or short communications submitted in Portuguese, Spanish or English can be published online on the Consejo Regional de Ingeniería Biomédica para América Latina (CORAL - http://coralbiomedica.org) and the Brazilian Society of Biomedical Engineering (SBEB - http://sbeb.org.br). Papers accepted for Springer's IFMBE Proceedings publication will not be published in the CORAL and SBEB electronic proceedings.
Once all revision steps have been completed and the reviewing deadline has passed, the presenting author will receive a notification to confirm and upload the final version of the regular paper or short communication accepted. Attendance and Presentation
Each Professional INSCRIPTION in the CLAIB&CBEB 2022 allows the
of two articles, and each Student inscription allows the submission of a
single article. Each additional paper RELATED TO THAT INSCRIPTION IN THE
EVENT will be REFUSED BY the system and not forwarded to the Review
Each author can be listed ONLY TWICE as the PRESENTING author (presenting author is always the first-named author in the author's block). The presenting author must complete the online registration and payment of the CLAIB&CBEB 2022 registration fee before 30th September 2022.
Papers from non-members of scientific societies congregated by the CORAL are welcome. Please refer to the Registration section regarding the date authors must become members of CORAL societies to qualify for preferential registration fees. These regulations will be strictly enforced. The Paper Submission Deadline is 31st May 2022 at 18:00 hrs Brasilia Time. After this date, the submissions will be closed.
Papers Submission Step-By-Step
(1) Sent to submit the work through
EasyChair© platform. If you do not have an EasyChair account, open one
following the platform's instructions.
(2) Once logged in to EasyChair©, Click "Submit a contribution to CLAIB&CBEB 2022".
(3) Select Paper Submission Category, i.e., Regular Paper or Short Communication.
Each submitted Regular Paper or Short Communication in the MS-Word format will be converted to a PDF file during the upload process.
